Cell Site Analysis in 2016

We are fast approaching the end of 2016 and it has been a very busy year for the cell site analysis experts. We have expanded this year and taken on another cell site analyst and we are currently recruiting for a new cell site analysis expert.

Last year we spoke about many cases being urgent, well I think this year I think this summed up the majority of cases. We have had to adapt how we work and now we expect that a case will be urgent and need to be turned around quickly. In fact we have been instructed on a significant number of cases this year where the case was already at trial, and again we have dealt with this and accommodated any cell site analysis work required. Even cases where we have a considerable length of time invariably become urgent at some point as other cases are being dealt with first in order to meet trial dates.

This year we have been instructed on a significant number of murder cases, many of which were high profile, as well as many drugs conspiracy cases. Again we have seen the usual cases involving robbery, burglary and the like, but we have also been instructed on a number of child protection cases.

There has also been a considerable increase in the number of lawyers we have seen independently introducing cell site evidence in to a case, when the defence has not done so. We have been able to guide them through the process of obtaining the call data records from the network providers.
