Cell Site Analysis in 2013

This year has been an incredibly busy one for our Cell Site Experts, as well as for the team of Analysts who have worked hard to meet the ever tighter timescales on the cases in which they are instructed.

During 2013 Footprint Investigations have been instructed on some of the most complex and high profile cases of the year, as well as many cases where the prosecution has not conducted cell site analysis and the defence has introduced this independently with great success.

There have been changes to contend with, further cuts to expert witness rates as well as much Crown work now being done in house, which in turn has led to a significant increase in the defence instructions. As the UK’s leading dedicated supplier of cell site analysis to both Law Enforcement Agencies and Criminal Defence we have worked positively with the challenges.

As well as the core of our work, which is cell site analysis, mobile phone attribution and call pattern analysis, we have spent many an evening and weekend delivering training courses on cell site analysis and its use in criminal trials.

Throughout the year we have seen Barristers and Solicitors from well over 100 firms and Chambers. The course has also been delivered to Crown Prosecution Service and numerous Police forces.

Bookings have already started for 2014 and we will start the CPD year with “Cell Site Analysis Explained” to one of the regional Circuits.

We were delighted to have been approached by a prominent university this year who offer digital forensics courses. They have asked us to provide bespoke training to enhance one of their own modules. The training will be delivered to the final year students by the cell site experts from Footprint Investigations.

The team at Cell Site Analysis team at Footprint Investigations look forward to working with and meeting many more of you in 2014.
