Footprint Investigations are delighted to welcome their latest cell site analysis expert, Chris Ellis.
Chris has re-joined Footprint Investigations after spending some time conducting his own projects.
Chris has worked in cell site analysis for the last 7 years, and has written hundreds of cell site reports for both prosecution and defence.
Chris has over 18 years of experience working with investigations, and he has used telecoms data in numerous criminal investigations. Chris has conducted analysis within the public sector and has worked for West Midlands Police, the Central Motorway Police Group and the Central England Trading Standards Authorities. He has also worked in the private sector conducting investigations into insurance fraud and the Solicitors Regulation Authority, conducting criminal investigations.
Chris has previously used call data and cell site to assist both criminal and civil investigations. In 2022 he studied the Level 7 Post Graduate Certificate in Wireless Communications course, accredited by the University of Wolverhampton, and recognised by the industry, where he studied Radio Frequency Engineering, Design & Implementation of Cellular Networks and Advanced Wireless Technologies.
Chris has significant experience and knowledge primarily in the following technical areas, investigations involving telecoms data, interpretation of call data records, analysis, and interpretation of OSINT data for use in criminal and civil investigations. He also has experience in the interpretation and analysis of ANPR data as well as the use of digital intelligence software for physical handset downloads.
