Robert (Bob) Knight

Bob has worked in cell site analysis and as an expert witness since 2002. He is a technical member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), formally the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE).

Previously he has been employed at: British Telecommunications; transferring to Cellnet (now O2 from 1979-1999)’ One 2 One (T-Mobile); Ericsson UK; Forensic Telecommunications Services; The Home Office Agency; The Forensic Science Service, The Metropolitan Police Service as a Forensic Engineer (specialising in cell site), The College of Policing (formerly NPIA) as a Radio Frequency Propagation Engineer and Investigative Trainer.

Bob attended the National Telecommunications Law Enforcement Accreditation Course, sponsored by the Association of Chief Police Officers, Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise and the United Kingdom Telecommunications Industry, and as such is capable of discussing matters related to a variety of operations carried out by the industry in the UK.

Bob has been involved in telecommunications systems and telecommunication services, their configuration, monitoring, maintenance and radio frequency surveying of mobile telephone cell sites and involved in the examination of mobile telecommunications systems and data for evidential purposes, together with the provision of expert testimony in criminal trials.
