Cell Site Analysis Explained in London and Leicester

Footprint Investigations were on the road again recently at Vickers & Co Solicitors in London. Vickers & Co hosted the event which was attended by a number of other local firms.

Andy once again conducted the course as Greg was called out to do some survey work in the area.

During the course Andy gave an overview of the past and present relating to cell site analysis, and the type of criminal cases in which it has been used.

There were numerous local case studies where cell site analysis evidence had been successfully introduced, as well as an in-depth look at the call data records required to conduct cell site analysis, as well as how these can be obtained by the defence team.

Maps and schedules were also discussed, as well as recent changes regarding the Crown’s delivery of cell site analysis evidence.

One of the most important aspects of cell site analysis is getting the mobile phone attribution right, and there was much discussion about the best ways to attribute a phone to a client.

The course was well attended, and although such an event had never been held in house before the Solicitors have said that the evening went well and that they will now be encouraged to hold similar events.

Many thanks to the organisers and attendees at Vickers & Co Solicitors.

This course was closely followed by one at ZMS Solicitors in Leicester where the audience was made up of Solicitors and Barristers from KCH Garden Square Chambers, who booked one of their own after seeing the course. This is due to take place at Chambers in Leicester on the 24th October 2013, and all bookings should be made directly to KCH Garden Square Chambers.

Many thanks to both ZMS Solicitors and KCH Garden Square Chambers.
