Over the last few years the Cell Site Analysis experts at Footprint Investigations have travelled nationwide to make sure that Barristers and Solicitors are kept up to date with all of the latest industry developments.
With two CPD courses to choose from, depending on the knowledge level of the audience, you will be joining lawyers from more than 100 companies who have enjoyed our training.
From recent surveys in Slough where it is cooking with O2 cell sites, as might be expected
This once discreet cell site in Birmingham, using brick design on the antennas, has been spoilt by the introduction of additional cells and also a failure to paint the cable management!
The cell site analysis experts from Footprint Investigations were invited to the offices of Horwich Farrelly Solicitors in Manchester recently to deliver CPD training.
This was the second invite and Cell Site Analysis Expert Greg Robinson, along with Commercial Director Andy Townsend, delivered an update training course ‘Cell Site Analysis in Action’. We have delivered this course, along with our original course ‘Cell Site Analysis Explained’ to thousands of criminal defence lawyers over the last 5 years. This course was slightly different than previous ones however as it was delivered to lawyers working in insurance fraud.
The cell site experts at Footprint Investigations said goodbye to Head Analyst Steve Benjamin this week. Steve was Operations Manager as well as heading up the team of analysts who support the cell site analysis experts.
According to a study on mobile phone call data it has been shown that the duration of phone calls in some countries are significantly shorter in the winter than they are in the summer. The study has been conducted by Professor Rolf Apilo of Helsinki University, who usually studies the difference between animals summer and winter coats. It is well known that many animals have thicker coats in the winter, shedding them once the weather gets warmer. Professor Apilo has also been studying the human ‘coat’ or skin for a number of years in relation to whether it has any effect on behaviour patterns. He has documented that some humans do have slightly thicker skin in the winter months.
A cell site in the centre of Manchester employing flagpoles to conceal the antennas. No mechanical tilt possible, but electrical tilt could be used here.
If you have a criminal defence case where you need to instruct a Cell Site Analysis expert, the chances are that it will need to be authorised by the Legal Aid Agency. No two cell site analysis cases are the same and there can be a huge difference in the costs of each case. On occasion we will provide a quote to a law firm for the work required, only for the Legal Aid Agency to reject it as being excessive. The law firm will then need to obtain a second quote which may be less, or even more expensive. But, is it ‘like for like’? This is where the problems can begin so it is important to set out clear instructions to any potential Cell Site Analysis Expert as to exactly what is required from them.
The Salford Spire cell site always seems to feature when working in this area. The antennas are hidden nicely behind GRP panels, can you spot them?
