The cell site experts were kindly invited to conduct CPD training on behalf of 18 St John Street Chambers last week. The event was held at the Radisson Blu Edwardian hotel in Manchester.
The talk was very well attended by solicitors from over twenty Manchester firms.

Cell Site Analysis Expert Required
Working within the UK Criminal Justice system our Cell Site Analysis Engineers produce expert reports for use at court. They author reports for law enforcement agencies and criminal defence lawyers and give evidence in court when necessary.
Full training will be given in relation to report writing and giving evidence in court.
You may be surprised to know that there are probably more unqualified cell site analysis ‘experts’ preparing reports than there are qualified ones, in our opinion that is. How do we know this? We see it day in, day out in courts nationwide and as real experts we can give an opinion!
An interesting article appeared in the Guardian recently, highlighting issues raised by the Forensic Regulator Dr. Gillian Tully at the Forensics Europe Expo in London last week.
There was a call for an increase to legal aid funding to help Criminal Defence Lawyers check and challenge the increasing complexity of digital evidence gathered for criminal prosecutions.
This was provided by one of our Analysts and was taken on a recent trip to Venice.
